This brainless and soulless throwback to exploitation cinema occasionally entertains but mostly just makes you root for carnivorous fish to do away with everyone involved. The pesky piranhas are back for more in this gore-soaked sequel that continues the silly steak of boobs, blood, and bad taste. This time, Feast helmer John Gulager takes the reins and delivers a follow-up that will make the easy-to-please, T&A-loving horror audience happy.
It is obviously a bad film but as a schlocky B-movie it was always intended to be bad but by those standards it just about delivers the required T&A, bloody set. Nevertheless, even with the advantage of contempo special effects, this latest mad-fish movie lacks the exploitation-pic bite of the Joe Dante-helmed, John. Three minutes into the movie we see a dead horse farting out piranha eggs. There is also an in-universe example. Apparently, one of the most popular YouTube videos is of a "laughing diarrhea.
