Some concepts just aren't as scary as they used to be. Problems begin in the peaceful coastal village of Midwich when one day all the villagers collapse simultaneously. Officials arrive but no one can enter the village without losing consciousness.
While I enjoyed this movie it felt like it didn't set its sights high enough on the exploration of the concept. One of (the once great) Carpenter's. Flaccid horror and heroics ensue in TV movie fashion without a hint of Carpenter's previous panache. In a small English village everyone suddenly falls unconscious. When they awake every woman of child bearing age is pregnant. The resulting children have the same strange blond hair, eyes and a strong connection to each other.
